Scoring rules

Group stage

For each group match you predict, you earn:

• 3 points for the exact score
• 2 points for the right goal difference
• 1 point for the right outcome (W / D / L) without the goal difference
• 0 for a wrong outcome

Knockouts (per match)

Same 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 rules for the score — but only if you correctly predicted the pair of teams playing. If your bracket has the wrong teams in this slot, you score zero points on the match itself (you may still earn the advancement bonus below).

Tied prediction? Your PSO score decides who advances in your bracket — whichever side you give the higher PSO number is who you've picked to win on penalties, and that's the team the advancement bonus below will check against. A tied prediction without PSO numbers is incomplete: it earns no advancement bonus and can't cascade into the next round.

If the match actually goes to penalties and you got the PSO score exactly right too: +1 bonus on top.

First-KO-round entry bonus

3 points for each team you correctly predicted to make the Round of 32.

You don't pick these explicitly — they're derived from your group-stage predictions: the top two teams of each of the 12 groups, plus the eight best third-placed teams (ranked by points, goal difference, goals for). With 32 teams and 3 points each, the maximum here is 3 × 32 = 96 points.

Advancement bonus

For each knockout match where you correctly predicted the advancer — the regulation winner, or the PSO winner if it went to penalties — you also get the round's advancement bonus. The bonus grows as the rounds get later:

A team you correctly track all the way to the title earns you the full ladder — 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 = 30 per team. (Plus the score-based points on each of those matches.)

Third-place playoff

The third-place playoff is a regular knockout match for the per-match score points (the 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 ladder, plus PSO bonus if applicable). On top of that, a flat +6 bonus if you correctly predicted the team that takes third place. It's not on the advancement-bonus ladder above.

Tiebreakers on the leaderboard

Players are ranked by total points. Equal totals share the same rank (sports-style — 1, 1, 3, 4, 4, 6 …).
